  • Overview

    The Professional Services Project Manager will be responsible for managing large implementation projects on behalf of Sage and in conjunction with Sage partners where required.  In addition this role will be responsible for developing a long term framework to be applied to all such projects across the Sage product portfolio. 


    This is a 6 months fixed term contract working in our Professional Services/ HCM team.




    • Responsible for project management of large implementations across the Sage product portfolio and where required in conjunction with Sage Partners
    • Responsible for delivering projects on time, on budget and to the agreed quality standards;
    • Implement Project Management practices where gaps exist to enhance the PM offering of Sage in the local market
    • Maintains effective, proactive relationships with at-risk Customers, Partners and internal clients. Facilitates resolutions of escalations by coordinating, communicating, and negotiating with Sales, Product Delivery, Partners and Services teams to help improve customer satisfaction, build trust and customer loyalty
    • Represents the Customer's perspective in product life cycle discussions and activities to help improve product quality and customer experience
    • Produce plans, schedules and status reporting for all implementation projects for all stakeholders;
    • Perform activities associated with ensuring ongoing compliance with Sage’s quality procedures and standards and corporate governance;
    • Excellent customer experience, deliver revenue objectives, operational efficiencies, profitability and growth
    • Develop and maintain close working relationships with internal and partner stakeholders
    • Other duties as required from time to time


    • Minimum 5 years software project management and implementation experience;
    • Strong background in formal change, project and software implementation management e.g. scoping, planning, scheduling, risk mitigation, etc.;
    • Ability to meet tight deadlines within pre-determined budgets;
    • Strong leadership qualities;
    • Good interpersonal, communication as well as writing skills;
    • Good understanding of technical and business issues in particular with ERP software;
    • Awareness of ISO9001;
    • Experienced in managing teams / people with the ability to develop staff through coaching
    • Exceptional customer service ethic
    • Results oriented and highly organised
    • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders under pressure and at different levels
    • Self-motivated and driven to succeed
    • Certification in Project Management – PRINCE or AGILE
