     Reporting to the Product Marketing Director, Australia & Asia, the Product Marketing Manager is accountable for defining and delivering effective growth, commercial and GTM strategies for their product. Closely coordinating activities with product delivery, marketing, sales and partners & alliances functions, the team delivers innovative messaging, pricing, positioning and product marketing strategies to achieve fast customer adoption and to energize sales, marketing and channel partners to do the same. The Product Marketing Manager has end to end accountability for both the commercial success of and superb launch of any changes to the product or customer value proposition.

     

     

    Responsibilities

    • Accountable for the overall commercial success of a product portfolio working with the industry's best product marketing team to define the positioning, go-to-market messaging and plans, pricing, naming and strategies
    • Build a compelling revenue growth strategy and manage delivery of the proposition roadmap, working with the other marketing teams and Product Marketing Managers that delivers against the financial targets as defined in the business plan.
    • Identify and advance relevant business opportunities based on deep customer and market understanding; Lead and champion engagement with those opportunities and propositions cross functionally, to ensure successful delivery.
    • Define the customer value proposition and maximise the customer and Sage benefits from effectively defining, positioning and optimizing the roles of partners & alliances in the overall CVP
    • Develop a rich understanding of the market, analysing customer and competitor trends in intricate detail, and gleaning insight that is powerful and compelling

    Qualifications

    • Strong knowledge of the IT industry (accounting technology and/or software experience an asset), the business management needs and challenges faced by customers and competitors in the space.
    • Outstanding people leadership skills – able to instil trust, belief, confidence and drive into a worldwide team
    • Experience launching new technology products to disrupt markets through innovative ideas balanced with market research.
    • Experience/familiarity with the customer engagement lifecycle and accounting solutions applications.
    • Thrives when working in a matrix environment, where colleagues need to be supported, driven, influenced to deliver even bigger results
    • Proven creative thinker that independently generates and executes on innovative marketing ideas. Proven track record in crafting compelling positioning and thought leadership content.
