Enterprise is a growth division with Sage, receiving key focus from the MD and CEO as the unit scales for year on year growth of over 100%. In the next 12 months, the teams involved in selling and implementing our Sage Business Cloud Enterprise Management product will double in size - the Operations Team provide support, analysis, rigour and process to Enterprise Team on this journey.


As an Apprentice Sales Operation Consultant you will be involved with our Sales and Marketing teams to provide support, measure success and provide valued input and guidance to projects and activities key to the Enterprise business achieving it’s goals.


Sales Operations are involved in every aspect of the Enterprise Divisions success.  As an apprentice Sales operations consultant you will be involved in:



  • order processing 
  • quotation Management for complex software orders 
  • talking to customers – finding Sage advocates and telling their story 
  • Reporting – revenue, pipeline, conversions 


  • helping to run marketing events 
  • creating the marketing planning cycle 
  • generating marketing campaign messaging 


  • ensure processes are accurate, auditable and efficient 
  • new product releases are launched 
  • data analytics – where are we successful? Why? Where can we be better? 



What you will learn

  • How an ERP Sales business works
  • How the back office roles of sales support and sales operations provide the backbone for success
  • The value of clearly defined process as well as how to create and implement process
  • How to take data and analyse to assess success/failure and guide on future decision making
  • Report production – tell a story clearly and concisely
  • How Marketing to large size businesses works – how campaigns are put together and executed


  • Qualifications equivalent to 5 GCSE Grade 4 (C) or above
  • Knowledge of MS Packages such as MS Word, MS Excel and MS Power Point
  • Passion and commitment to learn
  • Self-starting and open to new challenges
  • Curious mind-set that embraces innovation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to influence and empathise, to work proactively as a part of a team without constant supervision
  • Ability to work to targets and strict deadlines, utilising planning and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise own workload
  • Applicants must be age 16+ on 4th September 2018
