As a Risk Apprentice you will help the wider business to understand and own their risks through guiding, supporting and challenging colleagues. You will also work closely with the business to shape and steer activity, and support them through the provision of risk reporting to the Regional and Global Risk Committees.  You will be responsible, with support, for tenders for low value, low risk commodities.


  • Supporting the management and operation of the Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) tool that provides key risk and compliance information to the business.
  • Supporting the development of risk reporting and intelligence from the GRC tool.
  • Supporting the monitoring of risk management action plans across the business.
  • Supporting the regular review and refresh of Sage policies owned by Sage Risk.
  • Supporting the administration of the Auditor Independence process.
  • Supporting the maintenance of the Sage Risk eLearning training modules to support awareness of the Risk and Incident Management policies.
  • Supporting the management and co-ordination of the communication channels used by Sage Risk to support achievement of a 100% compliance culture.
  • Maintaining and managing Sage Risk information storage systems.
  • Assisting in the production of operational and risk committee reporting.
  • Developing and maintaining good working relationships with all areas of the business.

  • Qualifications equivalent to 5 GCSE Grade 4 (C) or above
  • Passionate about making a difference

  • Good analytical skills, communications and interpersonal skills
  • Capabilities to create, to organise and to manage process
  • PowerPoint and Microsoft Office experience
