Overview

We are looking for people with a passion for technology who want to grow in a fast paced and dynamic development environment. You'll need to have strong communication, analytical and problem solving skills, and a creative and flexible attitude.

 

You’ll join an agile development team, taking part in their planning and review sessions, and testing stories through their sprint to make sure that testing is well defined, planned and executed. Ensuring that every phase and feature of the software solution is tested and that any potential issue is identified and fixed before the product goes live. 

Ensure we are delivering high quality software to meet Customer and commercial needs in accordance with defined standards and best practice. You will have tenacity and determination to ensure we achieve only the highest quality.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing and agreeing test strategies
  • Writing, reviewing and undertaking test plans.
  • Devising and executing automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium.
  • Preparing and agreeing testing estimates
  • Developing, documenting, reviewing, maintaining and running functional and non-functional test cases
  • As an agile team member, actively contributing to Agile ceremonies
  • Disciplined in problem logging and triaging
  • Identifying issues and risks, and specifying mechanisms to address them.
  • Seeking opportunities to make improvements and be vigilant about putting them into action.
  • Manual reproduction and analysis of issues
  • Documenting stakeholder-facing instructions.
  • Mentoring and Leadership
    • Share knowledge with peers and team members
    • Contribute new ideas.
    • Actively increase levels of skills and knowledge

Qualifications

  • Mobile and web application testing
  • Experience of working with cloud products
  • Test automation
  • Testing in terms of functionality, performance & load, integration, reliability, stability and compatibility with browsers and mobile devices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication skills; written and oral
  • Understanding of relevant test principles and best practice
  • Experience in designing and implementing test artefacts
  • Relevant experience in an agile software development lifecycle

 

 

Desirable:

  • A degree in computer science (or another numerate discipline)
  • ISTQB/ISEB Foundation Certificate in Software Testing
  • Agile testing experience and/or qualifications
  • Knowledge of test management tools
