Senior Compliance Consultant with EiC - Excellence in Controls Project team
We are recruiting for 3 Permanent members of the Compliance team who will take a 12-month secondment initially into the Excellence in Controls Project team to guide and support in the design and embedding of the Business Control Frameworks, and then move into the wider Compliance team.
Key accountabilities and decision ownership:
Become an integral part of the Excellence in Control (EiC) project team for the Design and Embed phases.
Assisting in the design and documentation of business appropriate controls across the areas in scope.
Using a process driven approach, identify control overlap and address to ensure an efficient and lean output in relation to control design.
Assisting in the design, documentation and delivery of plans to drive the successful embedment of the design controls through education, awareness and the successful transfer of ownership.
Contribute in the design objectives and testing of the GRC tool to drive consistency, efficiency and a technological approach to support the initial embedding and ongoing monitoring of the Business Control Frameworks.
Producing high quality output, pitched to a level suitable to the audience.
Assisting in preparing and co-ordinating agendas, reports and papers for the relevant committees / project meetings.
Providing hand-on support and assistance across the business in the form of guidance, support and challenge
Developing and maintaining good working relationships with all areas of the business
Provide a stable and consistent conduit between the 2nd Line functions and EiC project team.
Key performance indicators:
Delivery of the Excellence in Controls Project, within the agreed timescales.
Successful interface the guidance, support and challenge of the 2nd line into the project delivery bringing value and supporting an outcome which is right for Sage.

Skills, know-how and experience:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including good presentation and written skills
Practical, approach to control design
Strong delivery focus, ability to perform on a timely basis and with accuracy, and to work well under pressure within a changing environment
Self-starter, able to work on your own initiative, and as part of a team
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interface with team members and all levels of management within the company, up to and including executive stakeholders
Capable of multi-tasking whilst maintaining high quality performance
Capacity to travel (20% - 30%)
• Experience working in a multi-national organisation
• Previous use of a Global Risk and Compliance Tool
• Language skills would be desirable (although not essential)
Technical / professional qualifications:
Recognised qualifications, or a minimum five years’ compliance management or operational experience
Broad understanding of the applicable legal and regulatory environment in which Sage operates
