Job purpose:  To develop and lead a Solution Consulting team to deliver operational goals and an exceptional customer experience by building, developing and managing performance of Enterprise Solution Consultants selling X3 based Mid Enterprise Business Solutions. Key accountabilities and decision ownership:


  • Develop a solution consulting team and culture that delivers value to our customers and focuses on customer success.
  • Acquire, develop, lead, manage and motivate your solution consulting team to deliver operational goals, service commitments to customers and an exceptional customer experience
  • Coach and develop the knowledge, skills and experience of individuals and your team to improve quality and effectiveness, promoting continuous learning and development
  • Engage in sales engagements positioning the Sage solution and delivering product demonstrations.
  • Take full, end to end accountability for the performance of your team, ensuring that customer needs are met
  • Establish and manage strong relationships with all key stakeholders in Sage (Within X3 and more widely)
  • Manage through SMART objectives, performance metrics and MI to a team of people & use relevant supporting measuring tools
  • Deliver on the Sales Strategy & the level of performance your team needs to deliver
  • Respect and apply Company Policies and Procedures taking appropriate courses of action when required

Must have:


  • Experience building a solution consulting/pre-sales team
  • Customer focused
  • Ability to work closely with Sales and Consulting teams
  • Manage resource across a number of disciplines and accounts
  • Ability to understand customer requirements and build solutions from Sage products.

Technical / professional qualifications:

  • Formal Management Training
  • Understanding of the ERP market

Key performance indicators:

  • Achievement of the sales target for the UK Enterprise team
  • Win rate of direct sale deals
  • Skills coverage within the team of the sage product set
  • Achievement of agreed objectives

Key stakeholders:

All in the X3 Enterprise Leadership Team, Sales Managers, Heads of the PSG team, Business Partner Managers
