The Sage Foundation Fundraising Manager will take a strategic approach to leading the development and management of Sage Foundations fundraising strategy to maximise income from the Sage Foundation $1M Challenge, to meet annual targets and engage with Sage Colleagues, Customer, Partners and the wider Sage community.



  • Formulate the Sage Foundation fundraising strategy, annual plans and budget for colleague, customer and partner income generation and monitor against them
  • Increase the visibility of Sage Foundation challenge events to drive participant numbers and meet fundraising targets.
  • Work with the Communications Team to create and deliver a media programme to raise Sage Foundation’s fundraising profile and generate increased levels of inbound enquiries to participate.
  • Oversee the delivery of a number of $1M Challenge fundraising events globally and take a strategic approach to its future.
  • Create a playbook of fundraising events and tools which the Sage Foundation Managers, Sage Colleagues and Partners can roll out at a local / regional level.
  • Ensure all Sage volunteer fundraisers are fully supported and motivated to maximise their support through excellent stewardship and promote and support colleagues and partner fundraising.
  • Increase participation in third party challenge events, diversify and expand Sage Foundations fundraising events offer.
  • Develop and oversee the testing and running of activities to raise funds from individual colleague, Sage Customers and Partners using a variety of techniques and channels.  
  • Oversee the input, use and analysis of fundraising data in order to manage reporting and impact of individual and Partner supporters, to inform fundraising activities.
Prepare reports for the Sage Foundation VP and ExCo on a quarterly basis.

Skills, know-how and experience:

Must have:

  • A passionate, community minded individual who is aligned with the Sage Foundation vision.
  • Experience in fundraising or sales, with the ability to meet fundraising targets
  • A dynamic self-starter who is able to build on the best of existing Sage philanthropy and develop & implement a clear vision for how Sage Foundation can maximise return for the Sage Foundation’s $1M Challenge.
  • A great team player who is happy to lead and also be hands-on.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Ability to work with a global mind-set, understanding the cultural differences of working with overseas teams



  • Strong project management skills. In particular the ability to manage several different work-streams at once.
  • Excellent problem solving, analytical, numerical and listening skills.
