The purpose of the Education team is to deliver value for Sage via new prospects and propositions in the Education sector.


Reporting to the Education Development Manager, the Education Sales Manager works as part of the Education team, develops new opportunities, inputs into and executes against the Business strategy.


The Education Sales Manager will be measured against sales, market share, profitability, Net Promoter Score (NPS), Customer Satisfaction (CSAT) and success of initiatives/projects


Deliver weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual revenue performance in line with business expectations and ensuring that our customer receives an exceptional experience.

Responsible for the growth of Education revenues within assigned region
Ensure that accurate forecasting and effective pipeline management is delivered.

Provide accurate and timely forecasting for monthly, quarterly and annual performance to the Senior Education Development Manager, including risk and opportunity analysis.

Maximise sales conversion ratios in line with business expectations
Ensure that revenue objectives can be delivered through assigned region building sufficient pipeline coverage.

Support Senior Education Development Manager to deliver initiatives outlined in our annual operating plan.

Maintain and develop close working relationships with other key internal stakeholders.


Skills, know-how and experience:



  • Degree level educated (preferred)· 
  • Chartered institute of Marketing Accreditation (preferred) 
  • Business accounting accreditation (preferred) 
  • Full driving licence


Skills & Knowledge:

  • A winner - driven by customer numbers, competitive lead and market share
  • Excellent relationship building and influencing skills
  • Sound commercial acumen
  • Technical understanding of cloud technologies
  • Excellent planning and organisation skills
  • Excellent communication skills, written and spoken, able to present and be comfortable with discussions at the corporate executive (c-suite) level externally & internally






  • Channel development in B2B space 
  • Sales of cloud software in to Education sector 
  • Connected and highly networked within business communities 
  • Proven track record of tangible delivery 
  • Accounting/business management software knowledge 
  • Proven ability to liaise with multiple stakeholders including commercial product management, sales, marketing communications, finance, senior management & partners
