Sage is going through a major transformation. Procurement must now operate at a global, strategic level, whilst maintaining the ability to act locally, which has led to a refocusing of the Global Procurement team.
The Category Manager will be strategic and work with internal stakeholders and suppliers to develop sourcing strategies leading to the development and ongoing maintenance of a robust, high performing and competitive supply base for Marketing services.
The CM’s will be expected to manage their categories and spend with local stakeholders, but also form part of international Category teams tasked with developing and implementing global strategies.
Procurement leadership, specifically Marketing services - Global Strategic Sourcing and strategy deployment in region.
Negotiating commercial and contractual terms across a range of marketing sub-categories such as media, creative and production agencies and digital, and subsequently supporting the management of these suppliers
Establishing and managing a commercially focused supply chain, where value and quality are optimised in order to maximise margins and operational excellence.
Working with the stakeholders to deliver expert negotiations for your category.
Focusing upon strategic sourcing involving key Procurement activities, such as spend analysis, supply base management and segmentation, RFP/RFQ management and analysis.
Ensuring that best practice methods and ethical standards are understood and utilised to enable the delivery of improved and more efficient services to the benefit of our internal and external stakeholders. Acting as a subject matter expert in the development and compliance of governance processes, involving relevant standards, policies and controls.

Ability to identify and use appropriate communication methods and establish good working relationships
