The business analysis team is responsible for working closely with, and building relationships between, Product, Internal Business Systems and other Technology teams and is responsible for ensuring that we have a clear understanding of what we plan to deliver and that we deliver an extraordinary service to our customers and staff.



  • Requirements capture, management and traceability relating Sales, Service, Marketing and Finance processes
  • Project scoping
  • Delivering accurate, concise and unambiguous business Statement of Requirement (SOR) specifications incorporating functional, non-functional, system and legislation requirements
  • Creating deliverable User Stories and acceptance criteria from high level business requirements, in “behaviour-driven development” format
  • Functional modelling, including wireframes and User Interface specifications
  • Accurately modelling as-is and to-be business processes
  • Communication and review of required system changes with the broader business, and managing stakeholder meetings/interviews to elicit requirements as needed
  • Reviewing business requirements, product usability and prototypes with business partners and customers
  • Supporting agile delivery teams (developers, testers, scrum masters, etc) throughout the SDLC to ensure a full understanding of business and legislative requirements where appropriate
  • Validating any changes to requirements during development and ensure they are communicated clearly, unambiguously and in a timely manner to all impacted parties
  • Identification and escalation of any risk that could affect the successful development and delivery of a project or BAU system
  • Ensure that business acceptance criteria of all developments have been met
  • Peer review of analysis and design documentation
  • Collaborating with peers to review, evolve and maintain analysis and design standards and procedures to ensure best practiceMaximising the value of the product and the work of agile delivery teams
  • Maintaining and prioritising Product Backlogs and communicating related metrics (burndown rates, etc) as part of the overall roadmap for the business
  • Clearly expressing Product Backlog items and being able to influence people that the priorities are correct
  • Ensuring you build knowledge of products and functional areas so that you can become a true advocate and are able to reflect this knowledge in the prioritisation. Specifically, with regard to:
