The Campaign Marketing Manager is a key role within Field Marketing and is responsible for supporting campaign management activities as part of the for Customer for Life (CFL) marketing team within Northern Europe. 


The role involves the creation (for local campaigns only), development, planning, execution, measurement and optimisation of cross-selling, up-sell and retention marketing activity in line with the Northern European marketing strategy to deliver marketing demand and exceptional levels of customer satisfaction.


As Sage’s Marketing Campaign Manager, you will directly contribute to the overall success of our leading Field Marketing function, and where with your help we will plan and locally execute campaigns in Northern Europe, you will be responsible for:


  • Creation (for local campaigns), planning, execution and optimisation of tactical and strategic communications activity to deliver CFL revenue and targets.
  • Preparation of detailed campaign plans, data briefs and proactive coordination of them across internal and external audiences with confidence, clarity, and strong alignment with business goals.
  • Tailor communications messages to connect to relevant customer personas in line with territory segmentation to deliver on defined business targets.
  • Know and understand customer personas and segmentation provided by Product Marketing to help make well-informed decisions on segmentation and targeting of their campaigns
  • Monitor, analyse and represent tangible campaign results that deliver ROI
  • Collaborate closely with sales organisation to ensure that there are full visibility and reporting of campaigns and delivered results across demand waterfall metrics (MQL, SQL, SQOs and revenue impact).
  • Liaise and share proven practices and knowledge in marketing communications with peers to support the commercial success of our solutions and products.
  • Brief and manage external suppliers to drive highly customer-centric, relevant, and bold communications delighting our customers.
  • Integrate global content into local campaigns where appropriate.
  • Understand, organise and manage the budget to company standards.
  • Work with local digital teams to ensure web content is kept up to date, fully localised and relevant.
  • Act as a champion and guardian of Sage’s values and brand identity, ensuring messaging, positioning, tone of voice and visual identity is consistent and in line with global brand guidelines, across all channels and in all activities. 


  • Highly results-driven, a customer-centric marketer with a proven track record and ability to deliver a significant impact on revenue and defined business goals through effective marketing activity.
  • A collaborative and experienced marketing professional who is confident, friendly resilient and comfortable communicating, working with and influencing people at all levels within a matrix or complex organisation.
  • Proven competence in marketing and communications including customer messaging framework development, copywriting & proofing, tactical marketing channel selection (digital/paid media, press and PR, direct marketing, social media), database marketing, campaign creative development, budget management
  • Strong understanding of trends in digital marketing and social media and how to leverage these channels most effectively
  • Knowledge of subscription-based marketing within a relevant industry/sector or small business market to drive high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
