Reporting to the Global Services Controller, the Global Services Tax & Treasury Accountant will have responsibility for Indirect Tax and Treasury activities within Global Services.


Working as part of the Group Finance team, you will work closely with other members of the Group Finance Team including Financial Accounting, Financial Reporting, Technical Accountants, Tax and Treasury. You will also have responsibility for owning and operating the intercompany recharge process between Sage Global Services Ltd and other Sage entities globally, acting under the guidance and protocols set out by Group Tax. The position will also act as the Treasury Back Office Manager.


This role requires an experienced accountant with previous financial control, tax and treasury experience. Strong communication skills are essential in this role, as is the ability to robustly challenge key stakeholders throughout Sage globally. 




As Tax Accountant, you’ll be responsible for:


Assist with the operation of the Group’s transfer pricing policy through the monthly review of global intercompany recharges.
Prepare documentation to support the intercompany policy for tax purposes.
Identify any gaps and introduce best practice in respect of the intercompany process.
Oversee intercompany recharge settlement process.
Investigate intercompany differences.
Gathering of tax information for UKI’s corporate tax returns process.
Assist with the review of the UKI’s corporate tax returns.
Liaison with auditors where relevant.
Prepare hedging calculations.


Fully qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA (or equivalent) with previous financial accounting and / or tax experience.
Good attention to detail, good judgement showing logical decision making, and a hands on approach.
Confident communication skills and able to build effective working relationships across the business.
Good knowledge of UK GAAP/IFRS.
Drive to continually improve processes and seek new challenges.
Ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines.
