Overview

Role purpose

Responsible for identifying, qualifying and delivering leads to the next stage in the sales cycle. Receives inbound calls, e-mails and “chats” from Sage customers and prospects. Handles initial product inquiries and qualifies prospects for sales by engaging with the customer to determine needs and offerings that would benefit them. Qualifies the lead and funnels to the Account Executive sales team

Responsibilities

Areas of accountability or responsibilitY

  • Identifies and creates new qualified sales opportunities from inbound leads
  • Achieves monthly quota of qualified opportunities
  • Engages with customers via telephone and e-mail to analyze their needs
  • Profiles the account and overcomes prospect objections to generate quality opportunities for the Account Executive team
  • Collaborates with marketing and sales on lead quality and conversion
  • Acts as a trusted resource for internal and external contacts
  • Helps uncover new deals and nurture existing opportunities
  • Maintains active communication with leads by sending monthly targeted e-mails

Qualifications

experience, qualifications and skills

  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 2+ years’ business experience required; software sales preferred
  • Previous outbound sales experience preferred
  • Excellent communication skills – verbal and written
  • Team player and ability to work in a high energy sales environment
  • Fluency in French and English
