This role is responsible for the delivery of Global Security Architecture across group initiatives, regions and systems.  This responsibility includes but is not limited to; defining and designing security architectures, building relationships between IT and key stakeholders, influencing functional strategy, building functional roadmaps and leading security in architecture governance boards.  You will work as part of the global architecture team to ensure the successful evolution from local to global architecture design and from traditional on premise and custom built platforms to secure cloud-hosted platforms.  You will primarily work towards forming strategic security platform roadmaps that will transform the way IT functions, and will simplify and standardise the Sage IT estate, driving down cost and adding to the security posture.

 

Although the functional reporting line is to the VP Architecture and Strategy this is a Key Role in support of the Global Information Security & Risk function and will have dotted line reporting to the VP in this function..

Responsibilities

  • To define and design global security enterprise and solution architectures according to business requirements and strategic target architectures
  • To build strong working relationships with local architecture teams and oversee global (solution) design and governance
  • To help transform architectural thinking from internal built platforms to external cloud-hosted platforms with increased global capabilities and partner integration where appropriate
  • To work closely with the Global and Local information security teams to support Operational change and Incident Management and Response activities
  • To assist in the formation of a global IT Security Strategy, Policy and produce supporting technical standards where require
  • To evangelise new technologies – emerging and disruptive and new methods of Information Security architecture design and integration
  • Experience of designing global security enterprise and solution architectures across internal systems and customer touchpoints
  • Experience operating in a Global organisation with diverse range of geographically dispersed stakeholders
  • Team player with experience mentoring architects helping them become more commercially aware and cognizant of changing internal and external IT landscapes
  • Strong business acumen, with experience of managing stakeholders and influencing strategy by partnering and educating in the art of the possible
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate and present complex information concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills, prepared to challenge conventional thinking
  • Ability to drive change in organizations and rally others behind an agenda

Qualifications

  • Degree in information Technology / Computer Science / Software Engineering/Information Security
  • Enterprise Architecture / Frameworks certified – TOGAF, SABSA, COBIT
  • Experience with Business Analysis/Architecture and Architecture design tooling and notational standards
  • A specialist Security accreditation e.g. CISSP, CISM and/or relevant Technology accreditations e.g. Cisco, Microsoft, AWS etc
