Job purpose: Sage has a unique opportunity for a self-motivated and creative communications professional to join its team, based in London or Atlanta.

This role is charged with developing the communications strategy to support the Sage Partners, Accountants and Alliances organization. Defining the internal and external narrative, you will help us to tell the Sage Partner story by managing communications to Sage Partners of all types, internal communications related to Sage Partners, and content creation for publication by media globally.

You will have access to our top tier executives and alliances to help bring your communications strategy to life - sharing our one Sage Partner story to energise the channel, the market and colleagues on the valuable contribution Sage Partners provide – pushing the boundaries of how we reach this critical audience.

 

The communications strategy will consider Sage partners of all types (ISVs, SIs, VARS, Accountants, Strategic Alliances) across all Sage markets (at all stages of their journey with the newly formed Sage Partner Program) covering multiple geographies and focused on selling Sage’s cloud solutions.

Able to work at speed, you will have a track record of working on major campaigns, a high level of creativity, and experience in working as part of a fragmented team in a matrix environment.

 

The role will report to Director of Product PR and AR.

Responsibilities

Key accountabilities and decision ownership: 

  • Work with local and global partner marketing teams to understand partner marketing, recruitment and Partner Program strategy
  • Develop and deliver a communications strategy that positions Sage as the software vendor to partner with links directly to local and global marketing activity
  • Deliver quality content that can be utilised by country PR leads in media communications
  • Develop global calendarization of comms and content enabling a single view, and knowledge share across regions.
  • Develop a messaging platform that enables effective communication to partners focusing on Sage’s cloud solutions roadmaps, organisational changes including tactical and strategic updated.
  • Design and deliver communications plans to support adhoc global initiatives. This may include the Sage Partner Program roll-out, CEO Partner Circle, Partner Community portal content management, Partner focused content on sage.com, design and delivery of webinars and online events
  • Create EVP communications plans, develop content and execute.
  • Support Sage colleagues in Partner Marketing, Brand and Events teams to ensure effective delivery of Sage messaging in Partner events – including Sage Summit

Qualifications

Skills, know-how and experience:

  • Proven experience in technology public relations, minimum of 5 years partnering with senior business leaders
  • Or significant channel marketing communications experience in a high tech multinational company
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field
  • Ability to work independently and with global matrix teams, applying strong collaborative cross-functional consensus building skills
  • Demonstrable track record leading and managing communications campaigns and reporting measurable results.
  • Strong partner channel or technology PR experience
  • Excellent writing and presentation skills
  • Strong understanding of digital and social media
  • Familiarity with trends and issues related to the SME technology space and Financial Software is a plus
  • Familiarity with analyst relations
  • Experience of agency and budget management
  • Skilled at strategic planning, communications project management and hands-on tactical execution of multi-faceted programs
  • Experience in negotiating, influencing and presenting at management level
