Overview

We have Content Specilaist available across the following Sage career levels depending on skills and experience:

  • Content Specialist
  • Sr Content Specialist

The  Content Specialist works closely with product teams and experience designers to craft compelling content and world-class experiences for Sage customers and partners.

The Specialist possesses a combination of UX writing and technical writing skills, and an understanding of user-centered design.

Adaptability is key! We are a fast-paced organization, so the Specialist must be comfortable with change and quick to learn new tools and Sage products and service

Responsibilities

  • Craft engaging and effective copy (including UI text, messages, onboarding emails, wizards, in-app assistance and walkthroughs) to shape the user experience of our mobile, web, and desktop products and services .

  • Deliver just the right amount of intelligent content in context—providing Sage customers with the information they need when they need it, on the platform and device of their choosing.

  • Develop technical self-help documentation of a high standard in a variety of media formats for target audiences.
  • Develop style and terminology guides, and adhere to writing authorities and Sage Tone of Voice guidelines.

  • Build on the Sage brand guidelines to bring the Sage Tone of Voice to life in every user touchpoint and interaction
  • Participate in user research to understand content needs and continually improve the user experience.
  • Advocate for our customers. Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand customer needs and business goals, and drive user assistance solutions that align.

  • Collaborate with other content development teams to shape our global content strategy.

  • Collaborate with localization professionals to localize content for global markets.

  • Research and drive the implementation of tools and processes to improve internal productivity, content consistency, and end-user success.

Key Skills

  • Masterful communication with impeccable plain English writing and oral communication skills. You can explain just about anything to anyone! There's meaning and intent behind the words you use, and if pressed, you can provide research-based justification for your word choices.
  • Expertise in delivering an empathy-driven user experience. You use language not only to communicate technical information, but also to relate to your audience.

  • Excellent editing skills and the ability to provide clear and constructive feedback.

  • Excellent understanding of localization and expertise working with translators and content providers in other countries.

  • Expertise in user assistance techniques and tools for omni-channel delivery, and excellent understanding of best practices (current and emerging).

  • Expertise in information architecture and structured authoring to build sustainable and searchable information structures and taxonomies.

  • Passion for technology and design. You see opportunities to communicate using AI and conversational interfaces.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. If you have a question, you'll dig until you find the answer! If you recognize an opportunity to improve things, you take the initiative to make positive change.

  • Expertise with quantitative and qualitative content tracking and measurement techniques for evaluating and improving the user experience.

  • Excellent active listening and interviewing skills.

  • Excellent understanding of design concepts, agile methodology, and business processes.
  • Multilingual, with fluency in French, German, or Spanish is an asset.
  • Experience working with distributed teams
