Accountable for providing insights and optimisation opportunities to enable business decision making, this role will be critical in supporting Sage’s web strategy, user experience and SEO activity. Responsible for delivering sophisticated and actionable insights from the Sage web properties and combining with behavioural user data in order to improve the end-to-end view of the customer journey and improve the performance of Sage’s web experiences world-wide. The successful candidate will be expected to be an expert in web analytics and data visualisation tools, enabling them to successfully deliver insight-lead recommendations and evaluations. To this end they will need to be highly analytical, with a strong statistical background, and proven ability to consolidate large amounts of data into digestible and presentable highlights


  • Providing insights for web performance across the end-to-end user journey (against key metrics, goals and business targets).
  • Reporting supported by insight for key digital customer journeys.
  • Provide analytical data and reporting to support: new web feature requests, enhancements, optimisation, content, campaigns, SEO and CRO initiatives.
  • Provide on-going requirements for tagging strategy to support above activities.
  • Utilise detailed web dashboard and reports to present and analyse specific user journey performance in-line with business KPIs.
  • Identify, conduct and deliver strategic analytics insight to the web & SEO groups to drive performance identifying opportunities.
  • Be an expert in Sage digital analytics platforms, tools and web platforms.
  • Ad-hoc reporting as required.


  • Experience of defining, implementing and delivering digital web reporting frameworks and delivery of reporting outputs.
  • Advanced web analytics knowledge (Google Analytics + other platforms beneficial)
  • Experience in digital optimisation (A/B testing, MVT)
  • Experience of merging digital data with other sources
  • Strong organisational skills and attention for detail
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to perform both quantitative and qualitative based data analysis.
  • High level of familiarity with analytics and data collection, experience of solving end-to-end analytics issues, and capable of working independently to define tracking requirements.
  • Experience of creating and delivery analytics dashboards and ad-hoc reports.
