As the Campaign Marketing Manager (Accountants) for Sage, Northern Europe., you will strive to innovate while you create and execute impactful marketing programmes for Accountants which deliver measurable direct ROI, strong retention rates and a quality pipeline of opportunity for sales colleagues. You will become the go to person in this space.


Accountants play a critical part in the SME ecosystem and deserve world class support from Sage to help them in achieving their successes. The development of strong and mutually beneficial relationships with Accountant partners drives both the referral and sale of Sage products to prospects and customers as well as the uptake of Sage products and services to Accountants directly for use in their practices.



As Sage’s Campaign Marketing Manager, you will directly contribute to the overall success of our leading Field Marketing function, and where with your help we will drive campaigns that engage and inspire our potential customers to purchase Sage solutions, you will be responsible for the:


  • Able to execute and optimise both global and local marketing campaigns and programs to influence the acquisition, retention, cross sell, migration or upsell of Accountants and their existing clients.
  • Experience integrating and repurposing globally created content for accountants into effective marketing activities and programmes in the local market.
  • Extensive and proven knowledge of marketing automation and digital marketing including search, social and online nurture journeys.
  • Strong demand generation marketing experience with the ability to nurture customer opportunity through to qualified leads.
  • Innovator in experiential marketing who can bring to life both Sage led and trade events that nurture and strengthen our relationships with the Accountant community.
  • Knowledge of service sector marketing such as subscription solutions with a track record in delivering ambitious growth targets through channel partners.
  • Relationship focussed with the ability to contribute and influence.
  • Proven track record in developing innovative ideas and solutions to invigorate our Accountant sales and marketing programs.
  • Partner with colleagues in other regional marketing functions to assure seamless execution of all programs and campaigns that achieve ambitious and measurable success.
  • Create interactive relationships with product marketing to influence world class propositions and grow understanding of market and customer insight.
  • Work with our Marketing Operations team to determine data led audience segmentation as well as developing and delivering reporting that concisely provides results and analysis for global reporting formats.
  • Generate tangible business results and return on investment for every delivered campaign based on defined campaign plans.
  • Liaise and share best practice and knowledge, be the expert in marketing communications to others in the business, supporting the success of our products.
  • Collaborate closely with the sales organisation to ensure full visibility and reporting of campaigns.
  • Confident in managing budget to the format provided.
  • Work with local digital teams to ensure web content is up to date, fully localised and relevant.
  • Be a champion and guardian of Sage’s identity and brand, ensuring messaging positioning, tone of voice, visual identity is consistent and in-line with global brand guidelines across all channels and in all activities.


Not everyone can be a Campaign Marketing Manager at Sage. To be seriously considered for the role, we are looking for


Experience: At least three years in a similar role with comparable goals and responsibilities where you have had a proven track record of delivering B2B Marketing (ideally direct and indirect) plans with the ability to switch and prioritise between tactical and strategic initiatives. You will need exceptional Go-To-Market experience. Experience with automation platforms ideally Eloqua and Customer experience focussed with NPS experience an advantage


Skills: Proven competence in the delivery of digital marketing and social media and their effective execution. Competence in marketing and communications, including brand building, taking a set of core messages and transforming them to a form suitable for a wide variety of audiences. The selecting of which media to use, press and PR, direct marketing, digital marketing, social media, database marketing, campaign creation, execution and monitoring.


Characteristics: Highly results-driven, customer-centric, collaborative, and experienced professional, who is confident, friendly and comfortable working with people at all levels internally and with external partners i.e. Media Agencies.
