Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Outsource Payroll team. This role involes providing accurate and timely payrolls to Sage Outsource Payroll customers, ensuring that deadlines are met for all payroll related activities, and consistently delivering an excellent level of customer service to all customers.

 

This opportunity can be either based in our Newcastle office or in Manchester and the closing date is Thursday 26th October.

Responsibilities

  • Process, reconcile and manage a portfolio of monthly, fortnightly and weekly payrolls, ensuring all deadlines are met and in line with all internal policies and procedures
  • Maintain accurate records to assist with monthly invoicing, reconciliations and both internal and external audits
  • Respond to all customer issues and queries in a professional manner and within agreed timescales, as per their SLA
  • Work with fellow team members to ensure all payrolls are double checked and all internal procedures are completely and accurately carried out
  • Liaise with Team Manager on an on-going basis to address any internal concerns, queries and personal development needs
  • Reconcile all payrolls on a monthly basis and prior to each year end process.
  • Process End of Year & RTI submissions ensuring accuracy and on time
  • Process Auto Enrolment through Payroll Software
  • Be responsible for processing BACS payments in line with client schedules, ensuring that salaries and third party payments are paid accurately and timely

Qualifications

  • PAYE knowledge covering all aspects of payroll processing which includes EOY, RTI & Auto Enrolment
  • Intermediate and above Excel skills
  • Ability to calculate manual payroll calculations
  • Ability to work under pressure and use own initiative showing a pro-active approach
  • Excellent at all forms of communication and organisational skills PAYE knowledge covering all aspects of payroll processing
  • Knowledge of payroll related Tax Year End procedures and filing of returns to HMRC

 

Preferred:

  • Previous experience of working in a high service delivery environment
  • Experience of processing high volume payrolls
  • Experience of delivering high level customer service
