Overview

The Creative Director is a key leadership role located in Newcastle, responsible for the development and execution of creative strategies and programs, including look and feel across all marketing, media, and programs associated with the organization. Perfect candidate is a natural born leader, inspiring internal teams and clients with visionary thinking and persuasive, dynamic presentation skills. Support the VP, Creative Director provide guidance and management of the Sage brand expression, helping bring it to life through content creation, design, photography and video to achieve revenue goals. Responsible for helping manage, develop, and lead a global team of art directors, copywriters, and editors within the company as well as externally, including agencies and vendors. This position will help execute Sage’s new, distinct look and feel across product category solution campaigns, globally and at the local marketing level, shaping the artistic design, vision, and strategy that defines the Sage brand

Responsibilities

  • Creative leadership and direction inspiring award-winning level creative strategies, concepts, and solutions
  • Skilled, confident, persuasive communicator, capable of presenting to all levels, from CMO to hundreds of colleagues and customers at events
  • Partner with local and global Brand Planners and marketing teams on briefs, creative development, and execution of awareness marketing programs, as well as any supporting assets including photography and video content
  • Build strong relationships with senior department leads, across capability and function, to ensure positive client satisfaction
  • Collaborate and lead global and local projects to brand products and services effectively, including naming, packaging and environmental design
  • Produce and develop visually compelling presentation materials that strategically explain Sage’s positioning, brand, and product benefits to customers across all channels
  • Help drive the brand strategy for Sage products, services, events and partnerships worldwide through collaboration with Brand Insights and other internal stakeholders and senior leadership
  • Manage and mentor creative services team by clearly communicating campaign concepts, design principles, color development, video and photography vision
  • Guide team development with effective coaching, fostering leadership through team engagement, and inculcating a brand-centric approach to creativity

Qualifications

  • Seasoned creative director with 12+ years leadership, management and marketing skills within both SMB and Enterprise facing product centric organizations or advertising agencies
  • Experience leading a multi-disciplinary team to creative excellence
  • Demonstrated experience establishing a brand vision and effective strategy that achieves brand health and operational objectives, meeting client needs while maximizing revenue and profitability
  • Established experience in brand management, direct response program management; creative team management, project management; relationship management
  • Advanced knowledge of digital and traditional marketing, brand design and development, business-to-consumer (B2C) and business-to-business (B2B), communications planning, establishing graphic standards, crafting targeted messaging, identifying persona-based branding, overseeing corporate identity and managing creative services
  • Excellent written and presentation skills with demonstrable ability to articulate and persuasively sell creative concepts within agency and directly to clients
