Reporting to the Director Market and Competitor Intelligence, the Market Intelligence Manager is responsible for developing and implementing a best-in-class market intelligence program with the focus on France, and there will be a requirement to work and manage projects with a wider European and global scope. Closely collaborating with product delivery, marketing, sales and channel marketing functions, the Market Intelligence Manager will present strategic market insight to senior management to uncover and articulate market advantage to realise growth ambitions.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver deep and ongoing market insight and competitive intelligence, with focus on delivery of accurate, timely, unbiased and contextual analysis as a subject matter expert.
  • Propose and manage market research programmes, and work closely with third party sources and agencies.
  • Deliver market trends insight in intricate detail, and gleaning insight that is powerful and compelling to inform predictions and opportunities.
  • Ongoing tracking and analysis of customer and market trends.
  • Function as internal consultant to product development, product marketing, to provide insight relative to the market landscape.
  • Work closely with the country teams to support the direction and provide input on Go-to-Market strategies.
  • Contribute to our global marketing charter to be the most successful marketing team on the planet by being obsessed with customers and creativity.
  • Manage the budget allocation to projects.

Qualifications

Skills, know-how and experience:

 

  • Proficiency in the English language, verbal and written
  • Ability to work in an international and matrix environment
  • Knowledge of the market that Sage competes in, including business management needs and challenges faced by customers and competitors in that space.
  • Strong analytical skills, skilled in the synthesis of data and understanding outputs from multiple data sources in order to deliver actionable insight.
  • Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills with a demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Results-oriented with strong time management skills, highly organized and driven to succeed.

 

Technical / professional qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor/Master degree or equivalent and 5+ years’ experience of delivering market intelligence programmes
