As the Enterprise Marketing Manager for Sage, Northern Europe., you will help plan, build and execute campaigns to accelerate customer demand for our X3 Business Management Software to enable Mid-Market, high-growth businesses to regain control, build agility and achieve their ambition - while simultaneously developing your brand as an expert in our space.


Your new role will be aligned to Sales and their goals for cross-selling, Customer Success and Brand Adoption. You will use your hands-on experience of building and launching industry-leading campaigns coupled with your specialist knowledge of what marketing techniques and channels a successful sales operation needs to use to engage, inspire and influence our target customer base.


As Sage’s Enterprise Marketing Manager, you will directly contribute to the overall success of our leading Field Marketing function, and where with your help we will plan and locally execute campaigns in Northern Europe, you will be responsible for:


  • Creation (for local campaigns), planning and execution of tactical and strategic communications activity to deliver Enterprise revenue and targets.
  • To prepare detailed campaign plans, data briefs, and to own & enforce them across internal and external agencies with confidence, clarity, and strong alignment with business goals.
  • To proactively co-ordinate marketing campaigns across all elements of the marketing mix and any involved stakeholders.
  • Tailoring communications messages in each campaign to connect to relevant customer personas in line with territory carving provided by the local Marketing Ops teams to deliver on defined business targets.
  • Collaborate closely with sales organisation to ensure that there is full visibility and reporting on NCM campaigns and delivered results across demand waterfall metrics (MQL, SQL, SQOs and revenue impact).
  • Leadership, briefings, and ongoing communication across any external suppliers to drive highly customer-centric, relevant, and bold communications delighting our customers.
  • Understand ERP customer profiles (key decision makers, executives and users) their needs & challenges across their buying journey and translate those into personalised communications and targeted campaigns for various channels with the goal to educate buyers and accelerate their buying cycle and drive usage and adoption of critical ERP features and products.
  • Influence and drive the development of customer adoption content for use in campaigns or events, including presentations, how-to video tutorials, instructional videos – experience managing external suppliers, or internal resources would be advantageous.
  • Drive ongoing updates and communications with Sales and Marketing stakeholders via weekly programs updates meetings, email communications, and QBRs.
  • Build webinar programs, promote them, and moderate virtual tradeshow/webinar sessions with other speakers; webinar speaking experience a plus.
  • Analyze program performance and make recommendations for improvements and optimisation of content, mix, frequency, etc. to meet monthly and quarterly goals.
  • Partner with the Events team to develop a holistic event strategy and follow-up; drive all pre-at-post event communications in Eloqua.
  • Partner with Marketing Operations team to improve data quality, close data gaps and build triggers off product usage and behaviours. Optimize customer lead routing to ensure appropriate follow-up on campaigns


Not everyone can be an Enterprise Marketing Manager at Sage. To be seriously considered for the role, we are looking for


Experience: At least three years in a similar role with comparable goals and responsibilities (ERP/SAAS or software background, preferred).


Skills: Proven competence in marketing and communications, including brand building, taking a set of core messages and transforming them to form suitable for a wide variety of audiences, selecting which media to use. (Press and PR, direct marketing, digital marketing, social media, database marketing, campaign creation, execution, and monitoring). Analytic skills – must be comfortable working with data – create program performance reports in Eloqua; derive insights and use them to optimise program performance, budget management, and ROI


Characteristics: Highly results-driven, customer-centric, collaborative, and experienced campaigns professional, who is confident, friendly and comfortable working with people at all levels.
