Overview

Sage Process Owner – Record to Report
 
Location: Newcastle

 

An opportunity has arisen for the right individual to join the Sage Finance Transformation Team as our Sage Process Owner for the R2R process. Reporting to the VP Finance Transformation, this is a unique opportunity to deliver significant value to Sage by designing, implementing, and maintaining standardised global R2R processes.

 

The successful candidate will have a strong track record of designing and implementing best in class R2R processes, ensuring all regulations are met, while capable of delivering excellent value to the business in line with agreed SLA’s and operating targets.

 

The successful candidate will be prepared to travel and will be able to build strong relationships across the Finance Operations organisation and with regional stakeholders.

 


 

Responsibilities

Key accountabilities and decision ownership:

In conjunction with local  and Regional R2R Managers create best practice policies and processes for the end-to-end R2R  processes

Develop Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for processes managed by Finance Operations

Provide expert advice to finance leadership on the system/process implications of change

Understanding Finance roadmaps, manage all change to Finance related processes consistent with global standard operating procedure, policy and R2R direction

Own and maintain process documentation including standard operating procedures, and training materials

Identify process efficiency opportunities and recommend a programme of continuous improvement in control and cost in R2R transactional services

 

Key performance indicators:

Value of improvement opportunities identified and delivered

Quality and consistency of R2R process outcomes and services

Effectiveness of stakeholder network and engagement

Be seen as the authority on R2R delivery within the wider organisation – offer and provide guidance to stakeholders

 

Qualifications

Skills, know-how and experience:

Must have:

Experience of working in a key control matrix environment.

Prior experience of developing standard R2R processes on a common platform, including design and development of Process Maps and Activity documents

Experience of working with a FTSE 250/Fortune 500 organisation

Proven ability to identify poor processes and implement improvements

Demonstrated an ability to work across functions and geographic boundaries

 

Preferred:

Command of an European language would be ideal, French, German, or Spanish
Technical / professional qualifications:

Qualified Accountant – ACA, ACCA, CIMA

Lean / Six Sigma qualifications and experience preferable
